Live, stay, will be: thaka

Thaka (to live, to stay) covers living somewhere, staying, and will be somewhere.

Which ending

Live or stay, as a habit

thaki, thako, thaken, thake

For example

Ami Dhaka-y thaki

I live in Dhaka

Will be somewhere

thakbo, thakbe, thakben

For example

I'll be home tomorrow

About this rule

How to tell

Achhe (is there) means is there right now. For living or staying somewhere as a habit, and for will be there, use thaka (to live, to stay):

Ami Dhaka-y thakiI live in Dhaka
Kal bari-te thakboI'll be home tomorrow

Why it works

Achhe (is there) has no future and no habit form, so thaka (to stay) fills in.

Its present means live or stay: Ami London-e thaki (I live in London)

Its future is the usual way to say will be somewhere.

Good to know

For will be with a description, use hobe (will be) from howa (to be): Kal gorom hobe (it'll be hot tomorrow).
